NCIS Vet Pauley Perrette Remembers ‘Legend’ David McCallum
Pauley Perrette has joined the chorus of NCIS veterans past and present remembering co-star David McCallum, who died Monday at age 90.
In a heartfelt, photo-heavy Instagram post, the actress — who played Abby Sciuto on the CBS procedural from 2003-2018 — wrote, “Oh David. What a life. What a legend. What a journey. And your legacy will always be the love you have for your family. Love to [wife] Katherine and the kids and the grandkids, your absolutely very favorite things.”

As we reported, McCallum passed away at New York Presbyterian Hospital of natural causes.
McCallum played chief medical examiner Dr. Donald “Ducky” Mallard on NCIS for all 20 seasons, most recently appearing (remotely) in the final two episodes of Season 20 last spring. He was the show’s last remaining original cast member, following the exit of series lead Mark Harmon early in Season 19.
“David lived a great, full, long life,” Harmon shared in a statement to TVLine on Monday. “I was in awe when I first met him and all of us on the show were honored to have toed a mark opposite him. My condolences go out to Katherine and his family.” (Read more tributes from McCallum’s NCIS family here.)
Monday’s 20th anniversary-themed NCIS marathon on CBS concluded with an In memoriam card (view it here) in remembrance of McCallum.
