We've got baking shows, sports shows, historical dramas, stand-up comedy, European crime thrillers and more hitting Netflix this week. And this list will help you figure out which you'll be wanting to watch.

My weekly streaming round-up this time around looks at everything new coming to Netflix between Saturday, July 6 and Friday, July 12. To create this list, I've looked at every new TV show, movie and special coming to the streamer this week, and have curated them into a selection that you might want to check out.

Compared to Netflix's offerings from the last few weeks, the streamer has a fair few new additions, so you'll almost definitely find something new to watch this week.

So here are our picks for the best new additions coming to Netflix this week.

Hannah Berner: We Ride at Dawn

  • Stand-up comedy show arrives on Tuesday, July 9

Netflix hasn't been adding as much stand-up comedy recently, but it's breaking that streak with the new stand-up set We Ride at Dawn from Hannah Berner.

The former tennis champ turned reality TV performer turned social media comedian gets her first Netflix special in We Ride at Dawn, filmed at a live show in Philadelphia. Berner is set to talk about mental health, pop culture and Berner's romantic live.

Sugar Rush: The Baking Point season 2

  • Mexican baking show returns on Wednesday, July 10

If you want a much more fast-paced and frenetic alternative to something like The Great British Bake-Off, then it's time to turn to Sugar Rush: The Baking Point.

This Mexican competition baking show promises to be... well, a rush. It challenges bakers to create extravagant bakes under a tight time limit, with the prize pool urging teams on to win. If you like Nailed It! it's similar to that.

The six episodes of Sugar Rush: The Baking Point season 2 will hit Netflix on Wednesday, July 10.

Receiver

  • NFL sports docuseries debuts on Wednesday, July 10

If you were a fan of Netflix's Quarterback documentary series, then you'll like Receiver, which comes from the same people.

In Receiver, we'll follow five receivers in the NFL throughout their 2023 season: Davante Adams, Justin Jefferson, George Kittle, Deebo Samuel and Amon-Ra St. Brown. We'll find out what it's like to work in this demanding but lesser-known position throughout the season

You'll be able to watch Receiver on Netflix from Wednesday, July 10.

Vanished into the Night

  • Italian mystery thriller movie debuts on Thursday, July 11

The new Italian thriller movie Vanished into the Night has one of the longest plot summaries I've ever seen, so I'll try to summarize it even further.

The movie follows two separated parents whose children are kidnapped — in order to raise the money for the ransom, the husband needs to run some drugs to an island. But when he comes back, he finds the kidnapping situation has escalated out of control.

You'll be able to watch Vanished into the Night on Netflix from Thursday, July 11

Vikings: Valhalla season 3

  • Historical action series returns for final season on Thursday, July 11

The popular spin-off to the Vikings TV show concludes with the third and final season of Vikings: Valhalla.

This TV show follows various historical Viking figures including Leif Eriksson and Harald Sigurdsson as they get into various situations in England and abroad, based on the true history of these people. The new season continues the stories of these characters and seems to focus on the continuing westward expansion of the Viking people.

All episodes of Vikings: Valhalla season 3 will hit Netflix on Thursday, July 11, where they'll join the previous seasons and the show it spun off from (except in the UK where Vikings is on Prime Video).

Netflix has made the curious decision to adapt a crowdfunded card game into its next animated series.

Exploding Kittens is about God and the Antichrist who both return to Earth... and get sent into the body of two cats belonging to neighboring families. They have to continue their rivalry while also doing cat things like chasing laser pointers and chasing pigeons.

All episodes of Exploding Kittens will land on Netflix at the same time on Friday, July 12.

Blame the Game

We're ending the week with a German comedy movie about a tense game night... Maybe they'll play Exploding Kittens!

In Blame the Game, a young man accompanies his new girlfriend to a board game night hosted regularly by her group of friends. He's already nervous about meeting these people for the first time, but it gets a lot worse when her ex boyfriend shows up to the party too.

You'll be able to watch Blame the Game on Netflix from Friday, July 12.
