New Lego Disney Train and Station set captures one of the most iconic parts of Disneyland
The happy feeling you get when you arrive at Disneyland or Walt Disney World has now been captured in a box. Beginning Sept. 1 (or Aug. 21 for Lego VIP members), Lego is offering the new Disney Train and Station set, with more than 2,900 pieces, at Lego stores and the company’s online store.
The, ahem, kids who play with the set can control the train’s movements and sound effects with a phone or other smart device. Train tracks are also included and you’ll want to use them, since the train actually works.
Just like the real-life stations at the front of Disney parks, this one features plenty of details, such as drapes, a clock on the wall and flowers. There’s a public trash can, as well as tiny posters and light fixtures.
Of course, Disney characters Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, Chip, Dale and Goofy also come as part of the package. The builder can arrange the mini figures at the ticket counter, on the bench or grabbing a coffee at the cafe. They even fit on the train.
The set, recommended for ages 12 and older, sells for $329.99. Please note that batteries and churro sticks are not included.
