Newspaper Says Harris Is Being Prepped For Debate By Long-Dead Acting Legend

The Telegraph of the U.K. reported that Kamala Harris was aided in her presidential debate prep by Lee Strasberg, the legendary drama coach who taught “method acting” to the likes of Al Pacino, Robert De Niro and Sally Field.

But even legends have their limits. Strasberg died in 1982.

The mention of Strasberg has since been removed from the article, which featured Donald Trump griping about Harris’ friendship with a powerful executive at debate host ABC. But Strasberg, ahem, lives on among critics who reveled in the gaffe.

The Telegraph originally wrote that Harris “is prepping for the debate with a stand-in Trump, Lee Strasberg, an acting teacher who has been wearing a wide-shouldered boxy suit and red tie.”

Joshua Benton, founder of Harvard’s Nieman Lab, noted the reporter likely took the name from a New York Times article reporting the presence of “an adviser in full Lee Strasberg method-acting mode, not just playing Donald J. Trump but inhabiting him, wearing a boxy suit and a long tie.”

For all the complaining Trump has done about ABC and Harris before the debate, imagine if he were also up against the undead.

Now that would be something to get angry about.
