NFL Star Justin Jefferson Sends a Message to His Detractors in Custom Under Armour Football Cleats

More from Footwear News

Justin Jefferson sent a message to his detractors Sunday to kick off the 2024 NFL season.

The Minnesota Vikings wide receiver faced the New York Giants on Sunday in player exclusive (PE) cleats from Under Armour. The brand stated his custom game-day look, the “Keeping Receipts” Blur Smoke 2.0, was inspired by “the doubt and ‘not good enough’ narrative prior to his NFL career.”

These Blur Smoke 2.0 PE football cleats, which Under Armour said were designed in collaboration with Jefferson, included uppers with some of the athlete’s favorite motivational quotes. Also, Under Armour and Jefferson included both his injury report and stats from his best games, which the brand explained were added “to remind himself of where he’s been and where he’s going.” In terms of the color palette, the cleats were matte black with white paint splatter.

While wearing the cleats, Jefferson and the Vikings defeated the Giants, 28-6. He had four receptions for 59 yards and a touchdown in the win.

Jefferson’s “Keeping Receipts” cleats aren’t available for purchase. However, other iterations of the Blur Smoke 2.0 cleats are available now via UA.com and Dickssportinggoods.com for $110.
