Nicole Eggert Details Molestation Accusation, Says Scott Baio Worried He’d ‘Go to Jail’ (Video)
Nicole Eggert has doubled-down on the accusation that “Charles in Charge” co-star Scott Baio “molested” her when she was a minor. On Tuesday, Eggert told Megyn Kelly that the ’80s heartthrob feared he’d “go to jail” if she told anybody about their relationship.
“The issue with him is that he was our boss,” the actress told Kelly during the “Today” show’s 9 a.m. hour. “He also was telling me, you know, ‘You can’t tell anybody, this is illegal, I’ll go to jail. The show will be over, everybody will be sued. You’ll be out of a job and you’ll ruin everybody’s life.'”
“And it’s scary, she continued. “It’s intimidating — especially when you’re young.”

Eggert said Baio penetrated her with his finger when she was 14.
“That happened quite often, through the age of 16,” she said of the touching. “More than 10 times, more like probably once a week. And then on set, there was just a lot of groping, a lot of fondling, a lot of pulling me on his lap, trying to sneak kisses in the back, which other cast members saw.”
Baio denied Eggert’s allegations in a Facebook Live video on Saturday. He’s declined numerous requests to speak to the media since Eggert first shared her story this past weekend.

Eggert said she and Baio, who is 11 years older than her, first had sex when she was 17. Eggert explained that she covered up for Baio’s actions in past interviews because she was “ashamed.”
The age of consent in California is and was 18, both Kelly and Eggert’s attorney Lisa Bloom pointed out during this morning’s two-part interview. Baio has said that Eggert was 18 or 19 when they had sex.
