Norah Jones – “Carry On” Video

Norah Jones is following up 2012’s Danger Mouse-produced Little Broken Hearts with a new album called Day Breaks, which she’s touting as a return to her jazzy, piano-driven roots. “This new album feels full circle because I’m going back to my early influences,” says Jones in a press release. “After the first record, I drifted away from the piano a little bit. I still played it, but was more inspired to write on guitar. I really loved playing piano on this record.” The LP features jazz musicians and Jones’s Blue Note labelmates Wayne Shorter, Dr. Lonnie Smith, and Brian Blade, and bittersweet first single “Carry On” has a Claire Marie Vogel-directed video depicting Jones performing while an old couple cook and dance together.
