Oasis has this warning to ticket resellers

The reunion tour of a popular band is causing a bit of a frenzy online.

Oasis tickets are going for as much as $8,000 on resale sites. In contrast, face-value tickets range from about $100 to $300.

Tickets began appearing on third-party sites soon after the three-hour presale window for official purchases closed. Now, the band is warning buyers that tickets can only be resold at face value through Ticketmaster or U.K.-based Twickets.

All other tickets sold at other sites will be canceled.

The tour was announced last week after brothers Liam and Noel Gallagher ended a 15-year hiatus and, presumably, a long-held feud. Oasis split in 2009 after many years of infighting.

The band’s reunion tour will consist of 14 shows in in Wales, England, Scotland and Ireland next July and August.

It will begin July 4 and 5 at Principality Stadium in Cardiff, Wales, followed by the Heaton Park in Manchester, England, on July 11, 12, 19 and 20; Wembley Stadium in London on July 25 and 26 and Aug. 2 and 3; Scottish Gas Murrayfield Stadium in Edinburgh on Aug. 8 and 9; and Croke Park in Dublin on Aug. 16 and 17.
