Omarosa May Have Taped Confidential White House Meetings To Protect Herself
Sometimes it pays to have receipts. With today (Jan. 20) being Omarosa Manigault Newman’s last day in the White House, some are worried that she might have be taking more than a few boxes with her.
The New York Daily News reports the former assistant to President Donald Trump and director of communications for the White House Office of Public Liaison is seeking legal representation for fears she could be brought into Robert Muller’s investigation on alleged collusion between Trump’s camp and Russia.
“Everyone knows Omarosa loves to record people and meetings using the voice notes app on her iPhone,” a source told the outlet. “Don’t be surprised if she has secret audio files on everyone in that White House, past and present staffers included.”
While Omarosa has been by Trump’s side and in exclusive meetings, another source believes she might not have an information Muller’s investigation is seeking. The White House recently banned cell phones in the West Wing after the release of Michael Wolff’s White House tell-all Fire and Fury.
Meanwhile, the former reality star has reached out to high-profile attorneys like Lisa Bloom and Bill Cosby lawyer, Monique Pressley for representation.
Omarosa doesn’t plan on having chill days anytime soon. The Boston Globe reports the 43-year-old has landed a speaking deal with Massachusetts speaking firm, American Programs Bureau.
