‘One Piece’: Katey Sagal To Play Dr. Kureha, Mark Harelik Cast As Dr. Hiriluk In Season 2
Netflix’s One Piece has locked in two more actors for key Season 2 roles. In one of the series’ highest profile castings to date, Katey Sagal (Sons of Anarchy) has been tapped to play Dr. Kureha. Mark Harelik (Presumed Innocent) is set to play Dr. Hiriluk in an almost perfect actor-character last name homonym.
The introduction of Dr. Kureha has been among the most anticipated elements about Season 2 of the live-action series based on Oda’s beloved manga. Jamie Lee Curtis had been approached for the role and wanted to do it, but as One Piece EPs Marty Adelstein and Becky Clements told Deadline last month, her schedule did not allow it. (According to sources, the role requires spending a couple of months in South Africa where One Piece is filmed.)

Season 2 is about two months into production in Cape Town, South Africa.
