Oprah Winfrey and Jessica Alba Favor Menswear-inspired Suiting With Relaxed Twists at ‘Exhibiting Forgiveness’ Premiere
Oprah Winfrey suited up in a relaxed take on menswear while attending the Los Angeles premiere of “Exhibiting Forgiveness” in Los Angeles at the Gagosian on Thursday.
Winfrey chose a light gray pantsuit with a looser fit, pairing a slightly oversized double-breasted blazer with matching trousers. She wore a white button-down shirt untucked beneath the jacket. She completed her look with drop earrings, a ring and silver Brunello Cucinelli Metallic leather flats.

The talk show and lifestyle mogul, who has favored suits of all styles throughout her career, wasn’t the only one suiting up for the occasion. Filmmaker Ava DuVernay and actress Jessica Alba also chose menswear-inspired silhouettes. DuVernay wore a black suit with an asymmetric neckline, paired with black trousers featuring a shimmering argyle pattern and shiny black pointed heels.
Alba, like Winfrey, chose a less fitted silhouette, wearing a dark three-piece pin-striped suit. The producer and actress accessorized with layered necklaces, a quilted Chanel purse in the same hue as her nails and white boots.
Serena Williams wore a lacy black two-piece set, featuring a long-sleeve crop top with tied fabric at the front and a pencil skirt with a scalloped waistband. The ensemble showcased delicate lace floral patterns over a shiny material. She accessorized with a silver watch and rings. For her beauty, she used makeup from her Wyn beauty line, launched in April this year.
Andra Day, one of the film’s stars, also wore a two-piece ensemble, featuring a structured pink crop top and a lime green full-length skirt with a thigh-high slit and gold details cinching it together.
“Exhibiting Forgiveness” is a drama about a painter, Tarrell Rodin (André Holland), who must confront generational trauma and reconcile with his past when his estranged father reenters his life. The film, directed by Titus Kaphur, premiered at Sundance earlier this year. It is set for theatrical release in the U.S. on Oct. 18.
