Oscar Nominee Celeste Returns With Title Track for Peacock and Sky’s ‘The Day of the Jackal’
Oscar nominee Celeste has returned with a new single, “This Is Who I Am,” serving as the title track for the upcoming Sky and Peacock original series The Day of the Jackal.
The British singer-songwriter, whose debut album Not Your Muse charted no. 1 on the U.K. albums chart, produced the program’s title song with Kendrick collaborators Beach Noise. She is also known for the Academy Award-nominated “Hear My Voice,” which she co-wrote with composer Daniel Pemberton for the Netflix film The Trial of the Chicago 7.

On Monday, Sky released the title sequence for The Day of the Jackal designed by Hingston Studio, featuring her track.
“Celeste’s ‘This Is Who I Am’ perfectly encapsulates the essence of The Day of the Jackal — both propulsive and distinctive,” said Gareth Neame, CEO and executive producer, and Nigel Marchant, managing director and executive producer, at production firm Carnival Films. “We were looking for a song that would leave a lasting impression, and Celeste’s powerful performance does just that, bringing a wonderful depth and intensity to the title sequence.”
Starring Eddie Redmayne and Lashana Lynch, The Day of the Jackal is set to premiere on Peacock in the U.S. on Nov. 14, and on Sky and NOW in the U.K. on Nov. 7. It follows Redmayne’s character, an assassin, who makes his living carrying out hits for the highest fee. But following his latest kill, he meets his match in a tenacious British intelligence officer (Lynch) who starts to track down the Jackal in a thrilling cat-and-mouse chase across Europe, leaving destruction in its wake.
Charles Dance, Richard Dormer, úrsula Corberó, Chukwudi Iwuji, Lia Williams, Khalid Abdalla, Eleanor Matsuura, Jonjo O’Neill, Nick Blood, Sule Rimi, and Florisa Kamara round out the rest of the cast.
The Day of the Jackal is produced by Carnival Films, which is part of Universal International Studios, a division of Universal Studio Group.
“This Is Who I Am” is out Nov. 6 via Polydor Records.
