Ozark Mountain Daredevils opening for ZZ Top at Black Oak Amp in October

The Ozark Mountain Daredevils are making their way back to a southwest Missouri stage with the legendary rock band ZZ Top.

The Daredevils will open ZZ Top's concert at Black Oak Amphitheater in Lampe on Sunday, Oct. 6. Doors open at 4:30 p.m. and music starts at 6 p.m. Tickets are only available on the Black Oak Amp website, starting at $52.

ZZ Top's performance at Black Oak Amp is part of the band's "The Elevation Tour."

Known for singles like "La Grange," "Sharp Dressed Man" and "Gimme All Your Lovin'," ZZ Top is celebrating its 55th anniversary this year. The blues-infused rock band was founded by vocalist and guitarist Billy Gibbons, drummer Frank Beard, and vocalist and bassist Dusty Hill in Houston, Texas. Hill died in 2021 at the age of 72. Today, longtime ZZ Top guitar tech Elwood Francis plays the bass.
