Paris Hilton ‘Excited’ for ‘Iconic’ Simple Life Reboot: ‘Reunion Show About Our Friendship’
We’re finally getting some new information about Paris Hilton and Nicole Richie’s new show for Peacock. They’re hyping this new project up, but can it compare to the original The Simple Life? Earlier this year, the dynamic duo teased that they had a new project coming up, seemingly hinting at a reboot of their legendary 2000s hit.
The teaser gave us every ounce of 2000s nostalgia, but the details about the new show have been scarce. Would the two be sent out into the world to terrorize innocent blue-collar workers again? That’s still unclear, but Paris promised whatever is about to come, it’s going to be “iconic.”
A new generation of The Simple Life
Paris spoke to Us Weekly about the new reality show, and surprisingly, she didn’t use the word “hot” to describe it. According to Paris, we’re in for an “iconic” new adventure from the two on-again, off-again besties.
“We are very excited. I can’t say much yet, but it’s going to get iconic,” Paris teased. “This is going to be a reunion show about our friendship. We are the OG’s and I am so proud of that show and how it just inspired so many other people.”
Since Paris and Nicole last “inspired” us in 2007, the two have done a lot of growing up. When we first met them, they were just rich and wreckless partygirls. They’re still rich, but now they’re moms. They’re wives. Still, Paris feels confident that they’re just as entertaining today as they were back then. She said their dynamic together is stronger than ever.
“There are those times where you just look at each other and you just know what you’re saying,” Paris said. “We have secret languages together. Anything I could say, she’ll know what I’m talking about.”
She continued,” I don’t have any other person who I’ve been friends with and have known my entire life like that, like a sister. Even though we’re moms and we’re grown up now, we always have that same vibe together.”
There’s no confirmation on when Paris and Nicole’s new show will drop, but it’s expected sometime later this year on Peacock. In the meantime, the original Simple Life series is available to purchase on Prime Video.
