Paris Jackson walks her first red carpet after seeking treatment for emotional health
Paris Jackson returned to the red carpet on Sunday night, nearly one month after it was reported the model was seeking treatment for her emotional health.
Rocking a satin beige-colored floral gown, Michael Jackson’s only daughter smiled for photographers at the Grammys afterparty held by Republic Records. The 20-year-old singer attended with her boyfriend, musician Gabriel Glenn.
In January, Jackson took a step back from the limelight.
“After a busy year of work engagements that took her all over the globe, Paris decided that she needed to take some time off to reboot, realign and prioritize her physical and emotional health,” a source told People. “She checked herself into a treatment facility to aid in her wellness plan and is looking forward to coming out of this revitalized and ready to tackle the exciting new projects that await her.”
The 20-year-old singer said certain reports about her well-being were exaggerated, but confirmed on Instagram, “yes i’ve taken a break from work and social media and my phone because it can be too much sometimes, and everyone deserves a break, but i am happy and healthy and feeling better than ever!”

Jackson, who has struggled with drugs and depression in the past, has been open about her mental health. In 2017, she said she tried to commit suicide multiple times as a teenager.
“It was just self-hatred, low self-esteem, thinking that I couldn’t do anything right, not thinking I was worthy of living anymore,” Jackson told Rolling Stone.
She credited a therapeutic school in Utah with turning her life around.
“It was great for me,” Jackson explained. “I’m a completely different person. … Before, I was crazy. I was actually crazy. I was going through a lot of, like, teen angst. And I was also dealing with my depression and my anxiety without any help.”
Jackson was first spotted after her treatment two weeks ago, holding hands with Glenn. The two are apparently working on new music together.
