Patrick Starrr takes home big prize at American Influencer Awards, Cardi B's nail tech wins big too

Patrick Starrr took home the top prize as Makeup Influencer of the Year at Sunday's 3rd annual American Influencer Awards.

Starrr, who has over four million followers on Instagram, beat out notables like Jaclyn Hill and last year's nominee James Charles. The award was announced by Kris Jenner.

"Oh my gosh, thank you so much," Starrr said, accepting the award. "Cheers to moving on from 2020 and stepping into 2021. I hope you all remember, and don't forget, that make-up is a 'one size fits all.' "

Charles didn't go home empty handed though. The 21-year-old, who made history as CoverGirl's first male ambassador in 2016, was presented with the Smize Award. Tyra Banks, who coined the term "smize" (meaning to smile with your eyes), gave Charles the award that honors an influencer who shares positive inspiration and entertainment with all their followers and embraces beauty from the inside out.

Broadway performer Frankie Grande and beauty influencer Kandee Johnson hosted the virtual awards that honored the greatest beauty contributors and premiere talent on social media and celebrated influencers across 23 categories from makeup, nails, hair and lifestyle.

Jenny Bui, who rose to fame as Cardi B's nail technician was awarded the title of Nail Artist of the Year. Amanda Cerny took home the award for Lifestyle Influencer of the Year, following in the footsteps of last year's winner, model Winnie Harlow.
