Paul McCartney and Jimmy Fallon hilariously surprise unsuspecting fans
Paul McCartney joined The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon to surprise unsuspecting people who thought they were just on a tour of 30 Rockefeller Center. As groups stood in an elevator, the doors opened to Fallon and Sir Paul in the corridor, involved in various activities. Most of the time, the fans could barely contain themselves (other than one guy whose only reaction was to lift his eyebrows).
For the first couple of groups, Fallon and McCartney sat holding newspapers in front of their faces and revealed their identities one at time. Fallon showed himself first, to the delight of fans — who got an even bigger surprise when they saw a Beatle sitting in front of them when McCartney lowered his paper.
For the next group, Jimmy jumped out from the side when the door opened, and said, “Hi, guys. Wanna see a magic trick?” He then held up a blanket, and when he put it down, there was McCartney. In what had to be the most surreal experience for any of the groups, the elevator door opened to show the two playing Ping-Pong. The guy who barely reacted was part of this collection — maybe it was just too much of a shock. With the last group, the stars were the ones taken by surprise and were still laughing when another elevator door opened.
McCartney has been surprising a lot of fans lately. In June, he joined James Corden in the Fab Four’s hometown of Liverpool for “Carpool Karaoke” on The Late Late Show, during which they delighted an unsuspecting group of bar patrons with a concert.
