Paul Mescal's Full Dating History to Study as You, IDK, Take a Run Through the Park

To Whom It May Concern (it concerns literally everyone), we have an important update on Paul Mescal's dating life. And by that we mean he appears to no longer be running away from women at parks, and is instead seeing singer/songwriter (and close friend of Taylor Swift's) Gracie Abrams. But this man's love life is truly a journey, so join us as we take a stroll through his relationship history.

Phoebe Bridgers: 2020-2022

Things between Phoebe and Paul kick off in May 2020, when Phoebe tweets (and later deletes) "finished Normal People and now I’m sad and horny oh wait." Paul then responds with:

By July these two are dating, and by November they make their red carpet debut:

They go strong for a few more years and even attend the 2022 Met Gala together amid engagement rumors:

Buuuuut then they split in December and Phoebe is later spotted with comedian Bo Burnham. Me personally? Still not over the breakup, but check back in a couple years.

~Normal People~ on Dating Apps: October 2023

The Daily Mail reports that Paul has signed up for a dating app. Weirdly we don't match.

All the People He Ran Away From at the Park (Unconfirmed): December 2023

December 2023, aka the fated month wherein Paul becomes the subject of an urban legend involving him running away from random dates at the park. TBD on the source of these rumors, but they go viral when TikToker Erin Mary Smith posts “Paul Mescal basically goes around North London—and this is from lots of sources—begging women for threesomes. And when he does actually get with a girl, he’ll say to them, ‘Hey, wanna go for a walk?’ And then in the middle of the chat, he will just leg it and just do a runner and leave her in the park.”

And then Paul semi-leans into the joke on Chicken Shop Date. By which I mean he's asked about his ideal romantic date and replies “I love walking. A good long walk is romantic to me.”

Sophie Wilde: March 2024

Paul and fellow actor Sophie Wilde are the (very brief) subject of romance rumors in March, when a source speaks to The Mirror saying, "Paul and Sophie have been having lots of fun to---gether and now their friendship has turned into something more. They got really close after last month’s B Awards and were seen smooching into the early hours at an after-party at Chiltern Firehouse. It’s early days, but they’re excited about where things could go. They have a solid foundation and loads of respect for each other."

Gracie Abrams: June 2024 to Now (+ October 2023, briefly)

Kay, so back on October 25, 2023, a source tells Deuxmoi that, "I’ve heard from two different people now that Paul Mescal and Gracie Abrams are hanging out/dating, but I haven’t seen it first hand.” However, there's no further confirmation of this, so society moves on.

Cut to several months later and the pair seem to be dating—this time with pics. TMZ publishes photos of them out together in London in June 2024, while a source who saw them shopping in July tells The Sun “Paul is a very low-key person, as is Gracie, so there was no fanfare and they kept their distance from each other when they were out on the street. When they had finished shopping, they each went off alone.”
