Pete Davidson calls Chevy Chase a 'putz': 'He's just a genuinely bad, racist person'
Lorne Michaels has stayed silent, but "Saturday Night Live" actor Pete Davidson is coming to his boss' defense.
"SNL" was a central topic in last week's Washington Post profile of former cast member Chevy Chase, who's become disillusioned with the show in recent years: "I’m amazed that Lorne has gone so low," Chase scoffed of Michaels, who created and executive produces the long-running program.
One week later, Davidson didn't shy away from the controversy during an appearance on Howard Stern's SiriusXM show.

“He’s a f—king douchebag,” Davidson said. “F—k Chevy Chase … He’s just a genuinely bad, racist person and I don’t like him. He’s a putz.”
Davidson continued: "What has he done since ’83? Nothing. He had a big career and then it stopped because everybody realized he’s a jerkoff. He should know more than anybody. It’s disrespectful to Lorne, too, a guy who gave you a career. No matter how big you get, you can’t forget what that guy did for you.”
Stern is a vocal fan of "SNL" but has never hosted the show himself. He's said that he was once extended an invitation to host, but he wanted his own writers to create all of the skits and "SNL" refused.
