Pharrell Settles Into Louis Vuitton Creative Director Role With Menswear Fall/Winter ’24-’25 Collection

Louis Vuitton staged its Fall/Winter 2024 menswear presentation on Jan. 16. With Pharrell at its helm, the luxury brand displayed Skateboard P’s latest vision as Creative Director in a showcase implementing a rodeo theme, taking place at the Jardin d’Acclimatation in Paris.

The collection features plenty of leather, denim, earth tones, and cowboy hats subtly inspired by his famous Vivienne Westwood topper, as well as bright, streetwear designs that immediately recall his early membership to the Billionaire Boys Club. The wide range of influences seen within the collection does make it feel a bit disjointed, but still manages to showcase Williams’ continued growth as a designer so filled with ideas, that it can be difficult to present them cohesively. Trust me, there are worse offenses.

An endless array of reimagined trunks and bags — namely the LV Millionaire Speedy — have become a major talking point leading up to the show, and they were certainly put on full display throughout the presentation. More formal wear walked the line between the masculine and feminine, with structured coats and suits married with floral patterns and bold, bright colors that reflect the Virginia rep’s own style.

Williams was not only supported by the fashion elite, but many of his Hip-Hop peers, including Bun B, Swae Lee, A$AP Ferg, Quavo, and others. The Book Of Clarence actor Lakeith Stanfield also took in the presentation alongside a host of style’s biggest names.
