Pink, Carey Hart toast 14th wedding anniversary: 'So many years, so many hairstyles'
Pink and Carey Hart are celebrating 14 years of marriage with intimate messages to each other on Instagram.
“So many years, So many hairstyles @hartluck.....” wrote the 40-year-old rocker on Tuesday. “We’ve been at this thing a long time, babe. It isn’t perfect, but I’m grateful it’s ours. I love our family. Thank you for walking in front of me, beside me, and right behind me at times. “You’re a real man, carey hart.” Pink used the hashtags #noonemakesmeangrierthanyou and #butyouresuperhot among others.
Pink shared a slideshow of photographic memories, including a shot from the couple’s 2006 wedding in Costa Rica for which the singer wore a black-and-white Monique Lhuillier gown and sang karaoke to “Sweet Child O’ Mine” by Guns N’ Roses during the reception, reported People.
Also posted was a family shot that included the couple’s two children, daughter Willow, 8 and son Jameson, 3.
Hart, 44, also wrote a tribute to his long-time love by writing under several photos, “14 years married to this amazing woman. I’m so proud of the life that we have built together. Both of us came from broken homes, yet we made the choice to work hard at our relationship. And look at us now! Two misfits when we met, we have grown together and now have an amazing family. Thank you for being my best friend (I know you don’t like that), and amazing mother to our wild kids. I love you so much.”
The former motocross racer and musical icon do have some battle wounds. Just two years after their wedding, Pink and Hart separated, with the singer reportedly assuring fans on her website, “The most important thing for you all to know is that Carey and I love each other so so much. This breakup is not about cheating, anger, or fighting. I know it sounds like cliché bullsh--, but we are best friends, and we will continue to be...”
Pink addressed the turmoil in her 2008 song “So What?” with the lyric “I guess I just lost my husband I don't know where he went...” however, according to the Guardian, the couple got back together with Hart’s cameo in the song’s music video.
Yet the Grammy award winner has always spoken of Hart with adoration and utter candor. In the Guardian interview, Pink mused, “There are moments where I look at [Hart] and he is the most thoughtful, logical, constant … he’s like a rock. He’s a good man. He’s a good dad. He’s just the kind of dad I thought he’d be and then some.”
“And then I’ll look at him and go: I’ve never liked you,” she added. “There’s nothing I like about you. We have nothing in common. I don’t like any of the shit you like. I don’t ever wanna see you again. Then two weeks later I’m like, things are going so good, you guys. Then you’ll go through times when you haven’t had sex in a year. Is this bed death? Is this the end of it? Do I want him? Does he want me?... Monogamy is work! But you do the work and it’s good again.”
As Pink joked Tuesday in a second Instagram post depicting a flower delivery from Hart with a hopeful note, “Alright I’m not gonna lie when I put that post up earlier I wasn’t really even feeling you that much @hartluck but well played, we’re good. I like you again.”
