Pink Pens Emotional Statement After Major Tour Achievement
Pink is celebrating a new tour achievement that holds a special meaning in her heart.
The "Just Give Me a Reason" singer, who is currently performing as part of her 2024 Summer Carnival tour, recently got to play a sold-out hometown show at Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia—and it appears that she is still reeling.
After bringing her powerhouse vocals and acrobatic tricks to the massive stadium—the same spot where the NFL's Philadelphia Eagles play—Pink took to Instagram to share photos and a video from the unforgettable night.
"Philly, I can't believe we just did that!!!"
"Thank you to my mom, my family, my friends, my junior high school guidance counselor and every single person who came out for a homecoming show that went beyond my wildest dreams!!" the 44-year-old wrote in her Instagram caption on Tuesday, Aug. 20. "I am so proud to be from here."
The superstar performer then gave a shoutout to The Bill Jolly Choir, "who reunited with me last night for the first time since we recorded [the 2017 track] I Am Here together."
"Thank you for sharing your extraordinary talent with us and for helping create one of my favorite moments in the show ??" she wrote to the Philadelphia-based musical group.
Pink, born in Doylestown, Penn., and later raised in the city where she performed, previously brought the Summer Carnival Tour to the area last summer with two back-to-back performances at Citizens Bank Park. She later announced a slew of additional North American dates planned for the summer of 2024.
Up next on the tour, the "So What" artist will be heading to Foxboro, Mass., to deliver a show-stopping performance at Gillette Stadium.
