A Jurassic experience roars back to the Rocket City

Boom Days Heritage Celebration honors Fort Payne’s rich cultural past with events that tie the history to the present. The event features great historical artifacts and clothing at the Fort Payne Depot Museum, a miniature railroad system in the original office of the Coal and Iron Company as well as music covering all genres.

It’s a significant cultural event for our city celebrating Fort Payne’s unique beginnings nearly 130 years ago.

While most bands will perform on the main stage, musical performances are not limited to this area. On September 21, you can visit three separate locations for performances:

  • The coal & iron building patio will host the Local Showcase Stage with Jess Goggans from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.

  • City Park Stage will host The Locals from 10 a.m. through 1 p.m.

  • Pete’s Alley will host Elisha Tatum and the Alley Cats from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.

You can view the entire schedule of events and the music lineup on the Boom Days website here.
