Pokemon Go: Max Combat Power numbers for each Pokemon revealed
The wonderful world of Pokémon Go continues to unfold its mysteries to players, the newest being the max “Combat Power” numbers for each Pokémon.
GamePress, a Pokémon Go wiki, has compiled a list of the max “Combat Power” number, or “CP” number, for each Pokémon available in the current version of the mobile game. The higher the CP value, the more powerful the attack and defense of the pocket monster. (This deviates from the main Pokémon game franchise, which features separated values for attack, special attack, defense, special defense, and speed.)
The GamePress list draws its max CP numbers from the highest level trainer (level 40), with full Individual Values. Most base and common Pokémon, such as Caterpie and Zubat, have max CP values below 1,000. The water-type Pokémon Magikarp comes in with the lowest at 262.70, whereas it’s evolved Water/Flying type Gyarados is the 12th-highest on the list, with 2,688.89 max CP. The elusive and yet to be discovered Mewtwo comes in with the highest value at 4,144.75. Surprisingly, Mew is third in line at 3,299.17 behind the second strongest Pokémon, Dragonite, at 3,500.06.
Creators of the mobile game, Niantic Labs, have been slow to reveal many game details, leaving players to discover the secrets on their own (see: how to ensure which Eevee evolution will occur).
Pokémon Go is now available for download via the Apple App Store and Google Play Store.
