Police Name Suspect In Murder Of Blac Youngsta’s Brother
Memphis police have named a suspect in the shooting death of rapper Blac Youngsta’s younger brother.
According to Action 5 News, Memphis resident Randy Ewing is suspected as the triggerman in the homicide that took the life of Tomanuel Benson, who was murdered on the morning of Aug. 18 near a Valero B.P. gas station in South Memphis.
An arrest warrant has been issued against Ewing, citing charges including 2nd Degree Murder and two counts of Criminal Attempt 2nd Degree Murder. Ewing was identified during the investigation as the person who allegedly committed the fatal crime. It remains unknown whether Benson and Ewing knew one another prior to the alleged encounter. Ewing has yet to be apprehended by police.
After being discovered at the scene of the shooting, Benson was transported to Regional One Hospital, but was pronounced dead upon arrival. The day after his passing, Blac Youngsta expressed his grief on social media, vowing to avenge his brother’s death and to “make the world pay” for his loss.
“I Love U My Baby Brother Rest Up,” the CMG artist wrote on his Instagram Stories. “I’m Gone Make The World Pay. I Swear To God. Nobody Safe. Standing Over Everybody. Everybody. 4LIFE.”
Tomanuel Benson is the third brother of Blac Youngsta to be deceased in recent years. He previously mourned the loss of one brother, Ronnie B in 2016, before his brother HeavyChampTD was gunned down in a Miami shooting in 2019.
