Port City Jerry Day in Wilmington: What to know about the music, tickets and parking

Plenty of music will be on tap to help out a great cause at the sixth annual Port City Jerry Day.

Here's what to know about the Port City Jerry Day.

What's happening?

The Port City Jerry Day is a charitable event presented by the city of Wilmington and community members in support of the United Way of the Cape Fear Area. The kid-friendly event will be held Saturday, Sept. 14 at Greenfield Park at Greenfield Lake Amphitheater, located at 1941 Amphitheatre Drive, Wilmington. Gates open at 5 p.m.

Jerry Day is also a time to honor the legacy of Jerry Garcia, the former leader of the Grateful Dead.

  • Bands will play Grateful Dead covers from 5:30-10 p.m. The headliner will be Hyryder, a Grateful Dead tribute band, performing at 7 p.m.

Tickets

Tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for children. Available at Port City Jerry Day for the United Way of the Cape Fear. All tickets sales go to local charities.

Where to park?

Parking is available at the Greenfield Lake Amphitheater parking lot.
