President Trump sends U.N. General Assembly into laughing fit after boasting about accomplishments
President Donald Trump was confident when he addressed the United Nations General Assembly on Tuesday – too confident, as it turned out.
While speaking from the podium, Trump seemingly went off script in boasting about the United States’s progress since he took office in 2017.
“In less than two years, my administration has accomplished almost more than any other administration in the history of our country.”
The statement met with snickers and light laughter from the world’s leaders in the audience, much to Trump’s surprise. He paused before adding, “Didn’t expect that reaction, but that’s OK.”
After Trump tries to claim his admin accomplished more than almost any admin in history, the UN General Assembly laughs

Donald, during your speech at the UN General Assembly, the world literally laughed at you — at us! You claimed the world was laughing at us when Obama was president, but they never literally laughed at him. NEVER! So you are the FIRST! Embarassing! @realDonaldTrump

Won’t it be great in 2021 to see our new President address the UN General Assembly amid joyous applause?
