Prince William Spotted Toting Around Personal Belonging the Royals are Rarely Ever Seen With

While most people rarely go anywhere without their cell phones in hand, the royals are likely held to a different standard when it comes to touting around mobile devices and showing them off publicly.

However, Prince William was recently spotted with the personal belonging in an informal behind-the-scenes snapshot shared to Instagram.

As the Prince of Wales traveled to Cardiff via train on Tuesday, June 11, he sat in a seat while looking out the window beside him, iPhone placed on the tray table in front of him on full display. Along with the mobile device lay a red binder of paperwork.

"En route to Cardiff to celebrate seaweed innovation!" text above the photo read, with Welsh translation included below the snap.

While an image of the future king's cell is uncommon for certain public engagements, royals are often seen using them to take photos of their own, etc. during personal downtime or at leisure outings.

As for his own children's relationships with phones, though, the prince has previously spoken about "monitoring" the three kids' screen time.

"At the moment it's trying to regulate the gaming... monitoring screen time. Got to be careful of that," he said in 2022 of sons George and Louis and daughter Charlotte, whom he shares with wife Kate Middleton.

The royal added, "They're fascinated by it. George particularly—he's more interested in it. The other two are a bit too small at the moment, but they love the films. I adore film and gaming as well."
