Princess Palooza and more things to do this weekend at the Shore

If you love princesses, and who doesn't, head to Jenkinson's for Princess Palooza.

See Snow White, Belle, Little Mermaid, Elsa, Moana and more sing from 7 to 8 p.m. Thursday on the Pavilion Beach Stage on Jenkinson's boardwalk. They'll be performing some of your favorite songs, including "Part of Your World" and "Let It Go."

Can't make it? The princesses will return to Jenkinson's on Thursday, July 11, and Thursday, Aug. 15.

After the show, stick around for fireworks!

The princesses come to Jenkinsons care of Asbury Park-based Party Fairy LLC. They can be booked for private parties, too.

Blueberry Festival at Argos Farm

Bring on the blueberries at Argos Farm in Lacey, which is celebrating New Jersey's state fruit with a weekslong festival.

The Blueberry Festival takes place from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Fridays through Sundays, through Sunday, July 7, and includes access to blueberry fields, live music, blueberry treats, and fun activities including a hay slide, obstacle course, zip line and more.

Southside Johnny in Seaside Heights

Southside Johnny and the Asbury Jukes, with the Rascals, play on the beach in Seaside Heights on Saturday.

“People want someplace to go in the summer, and we’re happy to provide that,” said Southside Johnny Lyon.

The show will take place on the stage at Blain Avenue.

“I just want to be let loose on stage and I’ll do my best to give everybody a great time,” said Southside who noted that he's feeling fine after leaving the stage during a show at the Stone Pony in February.

The Jukes hits include “Talk to Me,” “All I Want Is Everything,” “Hearts of Stone,” “Trapped Again,” “I Don’t Want to Go Home,” “It’s Been a Long Time” and “Having a Party.”

The Rascals, featuring Felix Cavaliere, are in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and their hits include “Groovin’,” “People Got To Be Free,” “I've Been Lonely Too Long” and “Good Lovin’.” The band was founded in Garfield by Cavaliere, Eddie Brigati, Gene Cornish and the late Dino Danelli.

No pets except service animals are allowed, nor is alcohol allowed into the performance area — but there will be alcohol available for purchase. Fans can bring beach towels, sheets and small beach chairs, but umbrellas are not allowed.

Jazz in Red Bank

Jazz Arts Project has announced the return of its Summer Jazz Café, reimagined this year as Jazz Café @ Triumph.

In a new partnership with Triumph Restaurant & Brewery in Red Bank, this year's series presents jazz artists performing from 7 to 9 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays through July 20.

Kicking off the series on Friday and Saturday is Warren Vaché and Eddie Monteiro, featuring special guests Harry Allen and Earl Sauls.

July 5 and 6: Aaron Weinstein and Friends

July 12 and 13: Jason Jackson Quintet

July 19 and 20: Steve Turre Quintet.

Proceeds benefit music education programs for local youth, said Joe Muccioli, founder and artistic director of Jazz Arts Project, in a news release. Tickets are $25 each and can be purchased online or at Triumph, 1 Bridge Ave.

'South Pacific' in Beach Haven

Surflight Theatre presents the Rodgers and Hammerstein classic musical "South Pacific," playing through Sunday, July 7.

During World War II, Nellie, a nurse from Arkansas, falls in love with a local French estate owner, Emile. Meanwhile, Lt. Joe Cable denies himself the fulfillment of a future with an innocent girl with whom he’s fallen in love. When Emile is recruited to accompany Joe on a dangerous mission that claims Joe’s life, Nellie realizes that life is too short not to seize her own chance for happiness.

Winner of the Pulitzer Prize and 10 Tony Awards, "South Pacific" includes songs such as "Some Enchanted Evening" and "I’m Gonna Wash That Man Right Outa My Hair."

Tickets are $43, $33 for children 12 and younger.

NJ Gay Men's Chorus in Toms River

In celebration of Pride Month, the New Jersey Gay Men’s Chorus will perform at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Toms River branch of Ocean County Library.

The chorus will perform a selection of well-known tunes, classic favorites and new songs. The Princeton-based group is now entering its third decade. The organization has partnered with choruses from various parts of America and has issued two compilations, "Prayers for Bobby" and "To Everything There Is a Season."

NJGMC belongs to the 170-member International Gay and Lesbian Association of Choruses, and has performed at GALA festivals in Canada, Florida and Colorado.

Seining along Sandy Hook Bay

From 11 a.m. to noon Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays, the Monmouth County Park System will host Seining Along Sandy Hook Bay at Bayshore Waterfront Park in Port Monmouth.

Led by Park System Naturalists, this program invites area residents to discover what lives and swims in the bay by pulling a long seining net through the water. Designed for individuals and families, this free program is open to all ages — kids under 18 must be accompanied by an adult.

Participants should meet on the beach near the parking lot. Closed-toe shoes are required. The seining continues through Friday, Aug. 23.

Beachstock 2024 in Margate

Admission is free and no beach badges are required for Beachstock 2024, taking place from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. Saturday between South Huntington and Granville avenues in Margate.

This year features new food vendors, more kid’s activities, live music, a free wiffle ball home run derby, sand sculpting, surf and kite lessons, a cornhole tournament, an AC Volleyball Factory tournament, Pickle Juice pickleball, a beer garden and a beachfront Tiki Bar.

Playing the iHeart Media WZXL main stage at 9 p.m. is Atlantic Records recording artist Knox, the Nashville-based singer inspired by Fall Out Boy, Panic! At the Disco and Ed Sheeran.

A Samoan fire knife dance performance takes place in the evening by the South Pacific Island Dancers. At dusk, children and their families can spread out their blankets, kick back in their beach chairs and enjoy the movie "Trolls Band Together" on a digital LED big screen.

Rain date is Sunday. Complimentary jitney shuttle service runs from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. along Atlantic Avenue between Coolidge and Fredericksburg avenues and the Eugene A. Tighe School parking lot.
