Queen Letizia Gets Vibrant in Red Carolina Herrera Dress for Spanish Football Team Reception After 2024 UEFA Euro Championship
Queen Letizia of Spain was joined by members of her family, including husband King Felipe VI and daughters Princess Leonor and Princess Infanta Sofía, for a reception to celebrate the Spanish soccer team’s victory against England at the 2024 Union of European Football Associations Championship Euro match. The Spanish royal family hosted the reception at the Zarzuela Palace in Madrid on Monday.
For the occasion, Queen Letizia opted for occasion dressing and honored the Spanish soccer team with her sartorial statement. The Spanish royal fashioned a red dress courtesy of Carolina Herrera. The frock featured cap sleeves and a midi hemline with a pleated skirt.

Along with the dress, Queen Letizia fashioned a pair of sandals in a shade of ecru by & Other Stories. She completed the look with a final touch of glittering accessories, wearing a pair of Gold & Roses rose gold needle earrings with diamonds and a ruby.
As for her family’s attire at the celebration, Princess Leonor, 18, and Princess Sofía, 17, both wore jerseys designed by Adidas that mimicked the look of the Spanish team’s official uniform. Queen Letizia’s husband, King Felipe, wore a suit with a splash of red thanks to his bright tie.
The Spanish royal family has been wearing several occasion pieces that honor their country as of late. For her first solo trip to Portugal on Friday as a member of the royal family, Princess Leonor fashioned a red power suit by Carolina Herrera.
While attending the 2024 UEFA Euro final on Sunday, Princess Sofía styled a pair of red trousers with a flowing white blouse. Her father, also wore a suit with a red tie to honor the Spanish soccer team.
For such significant occasions to honor their national soccer team and their recent victory in the 2024 UEFA Euro final against England, occasion dressing was the ideal choice for members of the Spanish royal family. Not only did they find a way to honor their country and celebrate the soccer team, they remained true to each of their individual style sensibilities.
