Queen Mathilde of Belgium Favors a Dramatic Silhouette for Belgian National Day Alongside Daughters Princess Elisabeth and Princess Eléonore

Queen Mathilde of Belgium was joined by members of her family for the Belgian national day in Brussels. The royal wore two unique outfits for Sunday’s festivities and posed for photos along side Belgian’s royal family.

For the official mass for the Belgian national day, Queen Mathilde fashioned a look courtesy of Belgian label Natan Couture. The midi dress featured a dramatic silhouette, with a full, flared skirt and three ornate buttons running down the front of the dress. The bodice also featured a structural element, with a cape-like appearance and boatneck cut.

Along with the dress, Queen Mathilde fashioned a pair of suede beige pumps courtesy of Dior and wore a hat by Philip Treacy — who has also fashioned hats for the likes of Britain’s Queen Camilla and more.

For another celebration on Sunday, Queen Mathilde changed her wardrobe, wearing a printed silk satin wrap dress with a belted waist by Dries Van Noten. While posing for photos with her family, Queen Mathilde was joined by her daughters Princess Eléonore and Princess Elisabeth, who each wore their own unique ensembles for the occasion.

For her look, 16-year-old Princess Eléonore wore a Maje ruched maxidress in a bright shade of orange. She paired the look with beige shoes and fashioned jewelry pieces by Carolina Herrera.

As for her sister, Princess Elisabeth, 22, brought 2023’s popular Barbie pink trend to Brussels. The royal wore a matching set look, which included a cape-sleeved blouse and palazzo trousers in a shade of fuchsia. Queen Mathilde and her daughters were joined by her husband King Philippe, and the couple’s two sons, Prince Gabriel and Prince Emmanuel. When it comes to her style, Queen Mathilde has experimented with colors, designers and silhouettes. The royal recently wore an Armani Privé couture runway look, which came from the luxury fashion label’s spring 2024 couture collection, during an event in London on July 13. She’s also taken inspiration from Kate Middleton, wearing a Jenny Packham dress for a royal engagement last May.
