Ratings: Final Blue Bloods Premiere Leads Friday in Viewers, Happy’s Place Has Solid Opening
In the latest TV show ratings, CBS’ Blue Bloods was Friday’s most-watched program, while Fire Country ranked No. 2 in the demo behind college football on Fox.
CBS | S.W.A.T.‘s season-that-almost-wasn’t opened with 4.1 million total viewers and a 0.3 demo rating, down a tick on both counts from its previous averages. Fire Country fired up Season 3 with 4.6 mil and a 0.4, exactly matching its sophomore numbers; TVLine readers gave the killer helicopter episode an average grade of “B.” Blue Bloods kicked off its very final run with 5 mil/0.3, down a few eyeballs from its springtime Farewell Run, Part 1.

FOX | College football coverage averaged 2.2 mil and a 0.5.
NBC | Happy’s Place debuted to 4 mil and a 0.4, markedly higher than the averages for NBC’s previous freshman sitcom, Extended Family (which did 2.6 mil and a 0.3 on Tuesdays); readers gave Reba’s sitcom return an average grade of “B,” with 87% planning to stay tuned. Lopez vs. Lopez led out of that with 2.1 mil and a 0.3, up in audience from its sophomore run.
ABC | Shark Tank returned to 2.3 mil/0.2, down from its previous averages.
THE CW | Joan hit a new audience low (176K).
