'Ray Donovan' star Pooch Hall arrested for DUI — and letting 2-year-old son drive car
Ray Donovan star Marion “Pooch” Hall was arrested Wednesday night for driving under the influence and child endangerment, Yahoo Entertainment can confirm.
The 44-year-old actor — who plays Daryll Donovan on the hit Showtime show — allegedly let his 2-year-old son steer the car because he was too drunk to drive. Hall’s Chrysler 300 sedan eventually crashed into a parked car in Burbank, Calif.
Burbank police tell Yahoo that officers responded to a traffic collision call on the 200 block of N. Buena Vista Street at approximately 7:30 p.m. Witnesses reported seeing Hall’s car weave in and out of traffic with a small child seated on his lap. One witness stated seeing the child’s hands on the steering wheel. The actor showed obvious signs of intoxication and was unable to perform field sobriety tests. Hall’s son was determined to have been riding in the vehicle unrestrained.
According to TMZ, which first reported the news, one eyewitness saw Hall’s son crying in the front seat. The child’s car seat was allegedly lying “among the junk” in the back and was not installed. The actor’s blood alcohol level was purportedly 0.25, more than three times the legal limit.
Hall is being held in the Burbank City Jail in lieu of $100,000 bail. Child endangerment and DUI charges are pending review by the Los Angeles County district attorney’s office. Hall’s son was released to Hall’s wife at the scene Wednesday night.
Yahoo reached out to a publicist for Hall but did not immediately receive a response.
