OffBeat, which bills itself as the city of Jackson's only Black-owned record store, has new and used vinyl records and will have a Record Store Day sale for customers, music lovers, and supporters.

"The shop will have limited edition Record Store Day releases from artists including Paramore, Pearl Jam, Fetty Wap and more," Rollins said. "Over 300 releases were on the list this year from music of all genres, and OffBeat will have many of these releases in stock."

The day will include sets from DJ Scrap Dirty, DJ Daddy Bug, Spirituals, DJ Stephan Urkel and DJ Dad Chap. There will also be a special appearance by three time Grammy Award winning musician Bobby Rush, who will be in the shop to sign copies of his limited edition, Record Store Day exclusive 7-inch vinyl, which is Rush’s first recording collaboration with the Blind Boys of Alabama according to a press release.

As an incentive for Record Store Day, when customers adopt a pet from the Hub City Humane Society in Hattiesburg, they will automatically receive a $50 gift card to T-Bones Records & Café in Hattiesburg. T-Bones is partnering with Hub City Humane Society to help ease a recent influx of dogs they have taken in. The Humane Society takes care of all the animals that are dropped off at its location in North Hattiesburg. However, they currently have no more room.
