Rihanna‘s been hard at “Work” lately and on Sunday night, she belted out a sultry new cut off her Anti album.
Taking the stage at the Billboard Music Awards, the singer performed “Love on the Brain” at the Las Vegas arena.
Rocking an off the shoulder pants suit with a green feather boa collar, Rihanna stood in front of a simple backdrop singing the lyrics “I’m fist fighting fire / just to get close to you.”
She also won the Billboard chart achievement award. “I have to thank, obviously, my fans and also my supporters … who are inspired by the art I do and make.”
Currently in between legs of her Anti World Tour, the singer, 28, will get back on the road June 17 in Amsterdam.
2016 has proven to be a busy year for the pop star: She surprise-dropped her much-anticipated eighth album, Anti, in January, before releasing her latest Calvin Harris collaboration, “This Is What You Came For,” last month. She also put out a chilling video for “Needed Me” in April.
The 2016 Billboard Music Awards – hosted by Ludacris and Ciara – airs live from T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas on Sunday, May 22 at 8 p.m. ET on ABC.
