Rihanna Is 'Unapologetic' To Spotify

Rihanna fans may have a little bit of trouble streaming her latest album. More than a week after the debut of her seventh album, "Unapologetic," the record is still unavailable on Spotify.
The one single off the album, "Diamonds," is available for streaming, but the other 13 tracks are noticeably missing. "Diamonds" currently sits at No. 1 on Billboard's Hot 100 chart.
Rihanna isn't the first artist to keep her latest album from Spotify. In October, Taylor Swift released her smash-hit "Red," and chose not to make it available on the streaming service.

"We're not putting the brand-new releases on Spotify," Scott Borchetta, the founder of Big Machine Records which signed Swift, said in an interview with Rolling Stone. "Why shouldn't we learn from the movie business? They have theatrical releases, cable releases. There are certain tiers. If we just throw out everything we have, we're done."

Spotify users are sounding off about the absence of "Unapologetic" in the company's forums. When one user posted asking for an explanation, a moderator directed the user to a FAQ which reads, "Unfortunately there are some artists who have opted not to be a part of Spotify at this point in time. Some frequently requested artists that are not in Spotify include Metallica, The Beatles, Pink Floyd, AC/DC and Led Zeppelin. We hope that they change their minds regarding streaming soon!"
We have reached out to Def Jam for comment on why the album is unavailable and will update the story as it develops.
