Rita Ora Gets Sharp in Poiny Pumps for Typebea Launch in London
More from Footwear News
Rita Ora was spotted in London on Tuesday promoting the launch of her new hair care line Typebea in a pair of sharp black pointed-toe pumps.
Launched alongside business partner Anna Lahey, Typebea is a performance-driven hair care brand designed with the intent of putting hair growth and hair health at the forefront. Officially hitting shelves on April 18, the “Let You Love Me” singer has been on a promotional tour for the launch over the course of this past month, choosing pointed-toe pumps as her go-to footwear option.
Earlier this month, the actress was captured in a pair of all-black Hot Chick Louboutin pumps upon arriving at the Ace Hotel in Sydney. The patent leather heels featured a sleek silhouette, a carefully constructed pointed-toe design on the toe box and a stiletto heel that stood 4-inches tall. When Ora isn’t going for closed-toe pointed pump models, she can typically be found in strappy stilettos. This past September, she arrived on the amfAR Gala Venezia red carpet in sleek black sandals that featured an ankle-strapped silhouette, set atop thick platform soles for a sharp height boost.
About the shoes
The closed pointed-toe pumps worn by Ora for Tuesday’s Typebea launch were minimalistic and modern with a black smooth patent leather crafting. The pointed toe design was sharply angled for a slightly dramatic appearance, and completed by a stiletto heel that was roughly 4-inches. The style falls in line with what the singer typically chooses for upscale events and appearances such as this one.
About pointed-toe-pumps
Pointed-toe pumps are regarded as a preferred shoe for red carpets and formal occasions. Various designers including Balenciaga and Valentino offer pointed-toe models regularly as a part of their catalog. The popularity of the slim stiletto heel with an angular toe-box has started to re-emerge again in the 2020s. In 2024, the style started on an upward swing with stylists recommending pointed shoe styles to achieve simple and classic looks for spring and summer. It is expected to continue to be a major trend throughout the remainder of 2024.
