Per the official description, “Bookie” follows “veteran Los Angeles bookie Danny (Maniscalco) as the potential legalization of sports gambling in California threatens to upend his business for good. Alongside best friend and former NFL player Ray (Dorsey), side-hustling sister Lorraine (Ferlito), and reluctantly reformed drug dealer Hector (Garcia), Danny must contend with his increasingly unstable clients as he tries to settle their debts – all while making plenty of risky bets of his own.”

Corddry’s recent credits include shows like “Hit-Monkey,” “The Unicorn,” “This Fool,” and “History of the World: Part II,” as well as films like “The Donor Party” and “80 for Brady. The comedian is best known for starring in both installments of the “Hot Tub Time Machine” franchise and leading Adult Swim’s dark comedy series “Children’s Hospital,” which ran for seven seasons from 2008 to 2016. He got his first big break when he began appearing as a correspondent on “The Daily Show with Jon Stewart.”

Corddry is repped by WME and Sechel PR.

“Bookie” is created, written and executive producer by “The Big Bang Theory’s” Lorre as well as Nick Bakay. Executive producers include Maniscalco, Judi Marmel and Andy Tennant, who also directed multiple episodes.
