Robert De Niro Hailed a 'Legend' as He Dives Off a Yacht for 81st Birthday

To celebrate his 81st birthday on Aug. 17, Robert De Niro decided to embrace his daredevil spirit and jump off a yacht as he spent quality time with his daughter Drena.

Drena shared a special tribute to her father on his birthday on Instagram, revealing the fun-filled video showing off De Niro's adventurous nature.

A clip showed De Niro casually jumping headfirst about 36 feet into the water below the boat, as Drena said, "He's so crazy. Oh my God." After making sure he was okay, she continued to be amazed by the feat.

"Happy 81st Bday to my Dad and #1 ride or die .. Love you with all my ?????? #BobbyD forever ????," read the caption.

Drena also shared some photos of her father over the years, including rare pictures of De Niro with his granddaughter Gabriella and his late grandson Leandro.

A fan who was allegedly named after De Niro commented, "??happy birthday legend????," while another said, "HBD??????81 years old and jumped! tough guy!"

Others shared well wishes for the actor on his birthday, with more replies like, "Yall know what a GOAT is yo!!!??????,"
"The greatest to ever do it! Happy Birthday to him! ??," and "A true cinematic great.??."

De Niro adopted Drena after he got together with her mother, ex-wife Diahnne Abbott. The former couple also share a son named Raphael. De Niro and Abbott got divorced in 1988, and he soon began a relationship with Toukie Smith. The two welcomed twins Julian and Aaron in 1995.

The Taxi Driver actor then married Grace Hightower in 1997, and throughout their relationship, which lasted until their divorce in 2018, the couple had two children, Elliot and Helen.

Lastly, De Niro's youngest is a little girl named Gia, born in April 2023, with the actor's current partner, film producer Tiffany Chen.
