‘Robot Chicken,’ ‘Childrens Hospital,’ ‘We Bare Bears’ & More Heading to Comic-Con
Adult Swim and Cartoon Network are bringing a slew of shows to Comic-Con 2015 this summer.
“Childrens Hospital,” “Robot Chicken” and “Mike Tyson Mysteries” are among Adult Swim’s convention programming, while Cartoon Network will debut new animated series “We Bare Bears” (pictured).
The cartoon cabler will present a back-to-back “fandemonium panel” with “Regular Show” and “Uncle Grandpa” up first (Friday, July 10, 10:00 a.m.), followed by “Adventure Time” and “Steven Universe” (Friday, July 10, 11:00 a.m). Voice actors and creatives JG Quintel, William Salyers, Sean Szeles, Sam Marin, Pete Browngardt, Eric Bauza, Kevin Michael Richardson, Jeremy Shada, John DiMaggio, Olivia Olson, Adam Muto, Rebecca Sugar, Zach Callison, Estelle and Ian Jones-Quartey will be in attendance at the sessions. “SNL’s” Bobby Moynihan, who lends his voice to the upcoming “We Bare Bears,” will moderate both panels.
Cartoon Network will screen a new episode of “Adventure Time,” plus the “We Bare Bears” premiere (Thurs., July 9, 8:00 p.m). On Friday evening, “Clarence” will also screen a new episode for Con-goers.
As for Adult Swim, kicking off on Friday afternoon, “Aqua Teen Hunger Force Forever” will celebrate its long run with a farewell panel, in anticipation of its 11th and final season this summer. On the same panel will be the cast and crew of “Your Pretty Face is Going to Hell,” which is going into its second season. Right after, “Rick and Morty’s” Dan Harmon will be on hand for a panel and Season 2 sneak peek, along with exec producer Justin Roiland and cast members/writer Ryan Ridley.
Also Friday, Mike Tyson will promote his show “Mike Tyson Mysteries” and present a first look at the new season. “Robot Chicken” returns for a panel with co-creators Seth Green and Matthew Senreich , exec producer Tom Root and Breckin Meyer. DC Comics’ Geoff Johns will also be there for an early look at the upcoming third “Robot Chicken” DC Comics Special.
Sunday, “Childrens Hospital” creator and star Rob Corddry and star Rob Huebel will participate in a Q&A.
Besides panels, Adult Swim will be well represented in San Diego with the Adult Swim Booth, free nightly screenings, the carnival midway and the return of the Meatwad Full Dome Experience (pictured below), a planetarium dome, which debuted last year.
