“Sabrina the Teenage Witch” costars Melissa Joan Hart and Soleil Moon Frye reunite for Fourth of July

The duo is celebrating the Fourth together in their “happy place,” Lake Tahoe, after the recent loss of two figures in their lives.

Sabrina the Teenage Witch stars are casting an Independence Day spell.

Melissa Joan Hart posted a photo alongside her former costar Soleil Moon Frye at Lake Tahoe in celebration of the Fourth of July. “Hanging out with this dear friend @moonfrye during some much appreciated Tahoe time!” she wrote. “Our happy place!”

Other photos on Hart’s profile show her family horsing around in the Truckee River, swimming in the lake, and relaxing on the beach. Additionally, the actress posted a photo on her Instagram story of a toilet paper holder shaped like a bear — which had been brutally decapitated by an unknown assailant.

“There’s been a terrible crime!” she wrote. “Tissue bear was 18 years old and had his whole life ahead of him. No one has confessed yet to the murder.”

On the WB series, Hart played the titular adolescent sorceress on all seven seasons, while Frye portrayed her roommate Roxie King for three seasons.

Although Sabrina, which ran from 1996 to 2003, was Hart’s most popular project, the actress said that she didn’t feel a particular connection to her character.

"If she wasn't always in different costumes and kind of getting put in these weird situations where I got to be Cinderella or Alice [in] Wonderland or a trapeze artist or in Cirque du Soleil or whatever," she told PEOPLE in May, "I don't know if I would've enjoyed the experience as much as I did because I just didn't identify with her very well."

Frye recently paid tribute to Crazytown singer Shifty Shellshock, her ex-boyfriend and longtime friend who died June 24.

"My heart is whispering a million I love yous for the way you loved my children and I so unconditionally," she wrote on Instagram. "I can still see your smiling sweet face in middle school when you kissed me in your tunnel of love and the way you swept me away again as we grew up to show me what that timeless kind of love feels like."

Hart and Frye's reunion also comes a week after the death of their Sabrina the Teenage Witch costar, Martin Mull, who died June 27 at age 80.

“His work ethic was only matched by his love for everyone he encountered.” Hart said of Mull, who played Principal Willard Kraft on the series, in a statement to PEOPLE. “I'll always remember how he told me he took every job that came his way because in this business you never know when it's your last job.”
