Salma Hayek Shared Why Her Gray Hair & Yellow Bikini Are the ‘Perfect Combination’ for Her Vacation
Salma Hayek is catching those last rays of summer and looking fabulous while enjoying her time in Ibiza, Spain. The 57-year-old actress not only donned a sporty yellow bikini, but she proudly flaunted her gray hairline.
“Yellow bikini + White hair = perfect combination,” Hayek captioned her carousel of snapshots. In the first photo, she gave a head-to-toe look at her fit physique and the daring neckline of her bathing suit. She accessorized with a colorful necklace and a pair of chic dark sunglasses. The second photo had her posing closer to Spain’s yacht ensign while the golden rays of the sun gave her a gorgeous glow.

Hayek has been one of the loudest voices in Hollywood when it comes to demystifying aging. She told Today in 2021, “You can kick ass at any age. You can hold your own at any age, you can dream at any age, you can be romantic at any age. We have the right to be loved for who we are at the place that we are.” The Frida star wants women to embrace their right to age with the same grace men are allowed by society. That means letting your grays shine through or covering them up — whatever option works for you!
In June 2023, she gave her Instagram followers a close-up look at her face in natural light — no filters in sight. “Me waking up and counting how many white hairs and wrinkles have crashed the party this morning,” she wrote. And guess what? She looked fabulous! Of course, Hayek isn’t the only actress sharing how good it feels to just let the aging process happen and shedding those beauty standards placed upon women.
Andie MacDowell’s gorgeous silver locks have become her calling card on the red carpet and the runway. “I’m much more comfortable. I think it suits me. It feels correct for me,” she told SheKnows in January 2023. “For instance, I’ll be walking through the airport now and these people will say, ‘You look great.’ I know they’re talking like they really appreciate me being my age, fearlessly being my age.” With leaders like Hayek and MacDowell leading the way, life looks pretty amazing from their perspective.
