Sam Heughan, Caitriona Balfe, more “Outlander” stars celebrate show's 10th anniversary: 'It's changed our lives'
Sophie Skelton, Duncan Lacroix, Graham McTavish, and Richard Rankin also paid tribute on social media.
Outlander has officially hit the double digits, and the cast of the Starz time-travel show has been celebrating.
Stars Caitriona Balfe, Sam Heughan, Sophie Skelton, Duncan Lacroix, Graham McTavish, and Richard Rankin all met in an Outlander 10th Anniversary Celebration conversation with host Josh Horowitz on Friday.
Heughan, who famously vowed in June to steal Taylor Swift away from Travis Kelce, got off to a bad start when he failed to name Swift's 2014 album 1989 as Horowitz quizzed him and Balfe on pop culture from that year, the same year that Outlander began airing on Starz.
"As you know, Justin, I'm a huge fan," Heughan said while hiding his face behind his hand, "and I've been there for all the eras and been to her concert — um, once — just it, it's that long ago I can't remember."

When Horowitz showed a photo of Balfe and Heughan announcing the series premiere date, Balfe melted, "Aw, we were so young." While Heughan identified their costar in the image: "Is that Travis?...That's Travis the horse — what a legend"
The cast also marked the occasion Friday by raising a glass in an official video that actors including Balfe, who plays Claire, and Heughan (Jamie) reposted. Fans were loving it, dropping a lot of applause emojis.
Meanwhile Lacroix, the actor who last played Murtagh in 2020, thanked the network for embracing the show.
"It's changed our lives and I'll forever be grateful for your love and support of the work everyone in the cast and crew have put in over the years," Lacroix wrote.
Skelton, who plays Brianna, said she was "so honoured to have played this little ginger kid and to watch her grow into one of the most impressive, resilient, vulnerable characters on screen."
"We couldn’t have done it without you," Skelton wrote alongside footage of Briana in memorable moments, such as wearing a graduation cap and blowing out birthday candles. "We love you."
McTavish (Dougal) said he "can't believe this all began 10 years ago!"

During the 10th anniversary interview, Lacroix opened up more about his circumstances before the show. The actor recounted that he was living in Dublin when the role of a lifetime came along.

"Where I was at with my career was pretty much giving up," Lacroix said. "I'd done about 14 years of acting in Ireland, and I was actually studying a course, so I was gonna go and teach English in China."
He moved to Scotland to film the show instead.
The second part of Outlander's seventh season premieres Nov. 22 on Starz.
