Samuel L. Jackson hopes to flatten the curve with hilarious poem: 'Stay the f*** at home'

Samuel L. Jackson appeared on Jimmy Kimmel Live!, Tuesday night. The Marvel Cinematic Universe star streamed in from the comfort of his screening room at home. During his conversation with Kimmel, he shared a new poem titled “Stay the F*** at Home.”

The poem was written by Adam Mansbach, who also wrote best-selling children’s book Go the F*** to Sleep. Mansbach wanted to encourage social distancing so he wrote the new poem. Jackson narrated the original children’s book, so it was only logical that Mansbach would ask him to read this poem as well.

The poem opens with the coupling: “The ‘rona is spreading, this s*** is no joke. It's no time to work or roam. The way to fight it is simple my friends, just stay the f*** at home.”

While the poem contains quite a bit of profanity, the message comes from a good place. “Thank you for doing your part to flatten the curve, because that s*** is steep,” read Jackson, “And now that you're home, please feel free to go the f*** to sleep.”

Jimmy Kimmel Live! airs weeknights at 12:05 p.m. on ABC.
