Sandra Oh And Andy Samberg Prepare To Host Golden Globes With A Complicated Best Friend Handshake
Sandra Oh, Andy Samberg, Golden Globes — what’s not to like? The pair were announced as hosts of the annual award ceremony earlier this month, many thought it was an unlikely duo, but after the recent promos show they show that they are more than capable of handling the gig — and on top of that, they are best friends!
In the video above, the two celebrate their friendship with a very awkward — but fun — best friend handshake. In the second promo, the pair teases that, as hosts, they are not afraid to talk about the literal “elephant in the room”. In the final video, Oh and Samberg breathily uttering random words like a perfume commercial from the early ’90s to promote the telecast — and their comedic chops.
Oh and Samberg are both Golden Globe winners. Oh won for her role as Dr. Cristina Yang on the long-running Shonda Rhimes drama Grey’s Anatomy while Samberg won for his role as the immature detective with a heart of gold Jake Peralta on Brooklyn Nine-Nine. Oh is also nominated this year for her role in the critically acclaimed Killing Eve.
