Sarah Ferguson, Duchess of York Goes Green in Safiyaa Dress for the Perfect World Foundation’s Honorary Conservation Award Red Carpet

Sarah Ferguson embraced going green for the Perfect World Foundation’s Honorary Conservation Award ceremony and red carpet on Thursday in Gothenburg, Sweden. The British royal family member joined award recipient Ellie Goulding, who received the honor for her conservation efforts.

For the award ceremony gala and red carpet, the Duchess of York chose a designer who’s become a staple in her wardrobe. Ferguson wore the Sarita cutout crepe gown in green from the London-based label Safiyaa.

The gown featured a cutout on the bodice along with dramatic flowing sleeves that billowed and cascaded onto the red carpet. Ferguson kept her accessories simple, favoring a pair of glittering pearl-drop statement earrings.

At the gala, Ferguson posed for photos with award recipient and “Lights” singer Goulding, who styled her own dazzling look. The singer wore an ivory dress from Zuhair Murad’s resort 2025 ready-to-wear collection, featuring a halter neckline and a crystal-covered, ornately designed bodice.

Ferguson previously styled a look courtesy of Safiyaa last July at the Knights of Charity Gala in Cannes, France. The author, formerly married to Prince Andrew and mother of Princesses Eugenie and Beatrice, wore the Kalika monochrome long dress, featuring a sleek black silhouette and a crisp white cape detail over her shoulders and down her back.

The Duchess of York wore the Safiyaa gown after Kate Middleton wore a purple frock by the London-based brand upon her return to The Championships, Wimbledon in July. Ferguson styled her black-and-white Safiyaa look roughly one week after the Princess of Wales’s Wimbledon appearance. Middleton’s appearance at the Grand Slam tournament in the Safiyaa dress generated $4.8 million in media impact value for label.

Founded in 2011, Safiyaa was created by Daniela Karnuts and named after her daughter and the Arabic word that means purity. Middleton previously wore another design from the brand at the Royal Variety performance in 2023.
