ScHoolboy Q Shares Visually Striking “JoHn Muir” Video

Fresh off the release of his fantastic new album Blank Face, ScHoolboy Q has shared yet another video. Keeping the quality high, just like with all of his previous videos, the video for “JoHn Muir” is an inventive affair that makes the most of its concept. Filmed from the back of a car, the video is remarkably shot, always looking fantastic regardless of what’s happening on screen be it positive or ugly. The video was directed by aplus, and gives ScHoolboy’s short film trilogy a run for its money.

It might not be as narratively ambitious as the rest of the videos for Blank Face, and it doesn’t have an amazing Kanye West cameo, but it might just be ScHoolboy’s best video yet. Visually speaking, it’s in a league of its own as far as rap videos of the year go. It all ends a bit ugly, but the minimal story it tells is an engaging one regardless.
