Missy Elliott may be 30 years into her legendary career, but she still has things to check off her to-do list. Case in point: The rapper is embarking on her first-ever headlining tour, titled Out of This World, featuring Busta Rhymes, Ciara, and Timbaland.
“??????ATTENTION IT’S TIME
‘OUT OF THIS WORLD’ TOUR
across NORTH AMERICA!!!! With my family @ciara @bustarhymes & @timbaland This Spaceship will be Landing NEAR YOU???? RUN 4 COVER!????????,” Elliott shared on Instagram.
The four-time Grammy winner has a lot to celebrate, from her time performing with Sista in the ’90s to going solo and collaborating with the likes of Timbaland and Pharrell Williams on hit singles like “Get Ur Freak On,” “Work It,” and “WTF (Where They From).” In a 2017 interview with ELLE, Elliott spoke about what it was like working with the two artists. Timbaland “had a little Yamaha keyboard, and Tim’s hands are humongous,” she said. “He was able to take the claps, the little dog sounds, and make beats with it. Then I just started rapping and singing over him playing with the Yamaha. Tim was very quiet. Pharrell was way on planet Mars. And, you know, I was just whatever. I was kind of crazy. But for whatever reason, we all understood each other.”
If you want to see Elliott take the stage and make history, there’s still time to snag tickets via StubHub and Vivid Seats. Scroll through below to see the remaining Out of This World tour dates.
