'Scrubs' producer and writer Eric Weinberg arrested for serial sexual assault in Los Angeles
Eric Weinberg, who was a co-executive producer and writer for 2000s NBC comedy "Scrubs," was arrested Thursday on several sexual assault charges, including rape.
The producer was taken into custody around noon local time in the Los Feliz area of the city, a release from the Los Angeles Police Department said. Police booked Weinberg after charging him with multiple sexual assaults committed over the span of seven years between 2012 and 2019.
"Weinberg was a Hollywood producer/writer and appears to have targeted women in grocery stores, coffee shops, and other public places," the release said.
"Weinberg would approach the women who were in their 20-30s, under the guise of being a photographer and would set up photo shoots with them. Once the women were in his residence, he would sexually assault them."
