Sean Paul to headline free concert in Queens
QUEENS, N.Y. (PIX11) – Jamaican dancehall superstar Sean Paul is headlining a free concert in Queens Saturday evening.
The concert will be held at at 5 p.m. at Roy Wilkins Park in St. Albans. Lloyd, Carl Thomas, Mr. Cheeks, and Funk Flex will also be performing.
The event is part of the Rise Up NYC summer concert series, which hosts free outdoor concerts across the five boroughs.
Paul will also be honored with the entertainer’s key to the city during the event.
“Known for smash hits like ‘Get Busy,’ ‘Temperature,’ and ‘Gimme the Light,’ Sean Paul’s music transcends borders and brings people together on the dance floor. His unique fusion of dancehall, reggae, and pop has earned him numerous awards and a massive fan following around the world,” the Rise Up NYC website states.
